1.Since sea fishing is much more complex than in fresh water and in the sea there are a lot of factors that make a good catch on a regular basis, such as: tides, sea currents, water temperature, wind direction, wave height, water color, moon position, etc. to understand the process a little better. The most popular websites such as Windguru and surf total are solid contact points to check in advance for the respective spot.
2. If you understand that to some extent, I would make a log. Or create a catch book which includes all of the above factors and of course personal preferences such as bait / material, position of the sun, time blah blah.
If you do this continuously you will soon see what is going on in your spots and especially when, or what is not.

Excactly, we always choose spots in function of tide, wind direction and time. Last friday I went fishing at a cooling water exhaust, only had a few taps of juveniles unfortunately, but it was worth the try.
