I would like to write a few words about the Mighty Huntsman, which I have been fishing with for the last 10 days since the zander season on the Elbe opened. I took it for summer fishing in shallow waters and with jig heads of 10-18g... The average fish I catch during the summer range from 40cm to 75cm. And in the first few days of testing it proved to be excellent for that purpose, its power, speed and detection of everything in the water are more than enough. But today a situation happened that I did not expect and that this rod was definitely not intended for... On my second cast at a distance of about 35m in a depth of 5m there was a strong bite, after 3 seconds I realized that the fish was of serious dimensions and a fight began that lasted about 5 minutes... On one side is me with Mighty Huntsman, Shimano Exsence XR 3000MHG Line YGK Super Jiggman PE.08 Fluocarbon Fox Rage 0.30mm...On the other side Zander 102cm...During the fight I realize that the rod has much more power than is needed for this fight. Not for a second during the fight did I suspect that I was losing control of the fish... The rod did a fantastic job, with the drag that was tightened two clicks from locking. Only at one point did it manage to pull out some 3-4m of line..In my opinion, this stick is worth every euro... Colleague Zander Whisper, if you're reading, thanks for the recommendation for the stick... Here are a few pictures of this beauty:
