Custom Perch rod (DS761-1 , (DS721-1) , (SJ 762-1 HM) or (Statement 722)

Hi everyone,

I want to build a custom fishing rod for perch specifically, but the waters here full of zander too, so chances of catching one are there.

It will be mostly used for bellyboat, but also from shore. So a length around 2,15 - 2,25m is preferred.

I'm curious if people here have tried the following and can tell me more about them;

NFC DS761-1
NFC DS721-1 (Favorite)
SJ 762-1 HM
Statement 722

The blank will be used for carolina rig up to 7g (sometimes 10g), aswell for hard baits up to 8g. I don't like a stiff rod and love a good bend on perch, yet sensitive.

I'm worried the DS series will be too weak to cast overhand if the weight is 7g + soft bait.

What are your thoughts?

The blank has a lure rating from 1/8-5/16Oz.
I've never fished some of their blanks before,but i would prefer a blank up to at least 3/8Oz or even 1/2Oz if there are lots of zander around.
For example,i had problems with the current Expride 22 BFS casting rod setting the hook and during the drill catching zander over 60cm+ in the river.

The DS Series from nfc have a very soft tip realy Good for dropshooting but the 721 have Not enough power for your lures … Look for the xray 732 rodhouse rating 5-17gr but Its a ML Blank Maybe 13-15gr Maximum the Statement is realy Good to i have one for some Finesse fishing like ned rig dropshot and more i like the rod i catchend a silure with 110cm no Problem for This rod
